29 CFR 1926.403(b)(2): Listed, labeled, or certified equipment was not installed and used in accordance with instructions included in the listing, labeling, or certification:    Lot 179: The employer exposed employees to electrical shock hazards of 110 volts as portable tools used on the jobsite were plugged into spliced romex in lieu of an electrical outlet that was not installed as required by its listing and labeling instructions.  The romex was not insulated and employees were potentially exposed to contact-with hazards based on the condition of the electrical circuit.  The employer had a porter cable compressor plugged into the power supply to energize the pneumatic nail guns used on the site to install roof framing.

29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iv): Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided to prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws.    Lot 179: Employees were exposed to electrical shock hazards of 110 volts as flexible cords were not supported with strain relief to prevent stress from being transmitted to joints or terminal screws. The employer had a porter cable compressor plugged into the power supply to energize the pneumatic nail guns used on the site to install roof framing.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502:     Lot 179, residential building roof: The employer exposed employees to fall hazards of 19 feet while installing roof framing without the use of fall protection systems on a newly constructed residential home with varying roof slopes of 6 X 12 and 10 X 12.
