29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered in the following: A) Skin protection, such as impermeable arm sleeves and aprons, was not used by employee(s) exposed to epoxy resins and associated chemicals in facility locations including, but not limited to Winder and B-stage areas. B) Impermeable gloves were not worn by employee(s) exposed to epoxy resins and associated chemicals in facility locations including, but not limited to Winder and B-stage areas. Employee(s) wore thin latex rubber gloves that were not recommended by the chemical manufacturer. Multiple employee(s) have occurred skin contact injuries/illnesses from epoxy resin and associated chemical exposure.

29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): When the employer had assessed the workplace hazard(s) and determined that hazard(s) were present, the employer did not select and/or use the types of personal protective equipment that would protect the affected employee from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment: A) Skin protection, such as impermeable arm sleeves and aprons, was not mandated for employee(s) exposed to epoxy resins and associated chemicals in facility locations including, but not limited to Winder and B-stage areas. B) Impermeable glove usage was not mandated for employee(s) exposed to epoxy resins and associated chemicals in facility locations including, but not limited to Winder and B-stage areas.
