29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Roof of Whitehall Elementry School - On or about July 18, 2012, employees installing HVAC equipment on a nearly flat roof, with an unprotected sides or edges which are in excess of 20' above finished grade, were not protected through the use of any means of fall protection.
