29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): The employer failed to provide portable fire extinguishers and mount, locate and identify them so that they were readily accessible to employees without subjecting the employees to possible injury. (a) ABF Freight Systems, Inc. 5871 Broadway, Denver, CO 80216; On and before August 28, 2012, the exposing employer failed to enusure that three 50 lb portable CO2 extniguishers where readily accessible without exposing the employees to injury. Extinguishers where located inside the webs of I-beams and a metal pole had been placed approximately 3 inches in front of them. Combination of the beams metal web blocking access and location of the metal poles in front of the extinguishers made removing the extinguishers difficult and combersome and exposed employees to injury.
