29 CFR 1910.184(e)(1): Sling identification. Alloy steel chain slings shall have permanently affixed durable identification stating size, grade, rated capacity, and reach. (a) The employer did not ensure that chains used for lifting equipment had permanently affixed identification. The employees use these chains to lift and move equipment and were exposed to a struck-by hazard and caught-in-between hazard.
