29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10):  Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system.    The employer does not protect emploees form falling when working on low-sloped roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels.  This violation was observed on or about August 29, 2012, on the low-sloped roof of a newly built commercial building where employees were exposed to a 22 foot fall hazard when performing roofing work without a fall protection system.     KIRTLEY SHEET METAL WAS PREVIOULY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR EQUIVALENT 29 CFR 1926.501 (B)(1) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 312646078, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM 010, ISSUED ON 11/20/2008, AND AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER DATE ON 6/22/2009, RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT HOUSTON, TEXAS.       Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is incompliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees are protected from falling when exposed to unprotected sides and edges with falls 6 feet or more above a lower level or ground
