29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) On or about August 22. 2012, or at times prior thereto, employees erecting trusses and subject to a potential fall of approximately 12 feet were not provided fall protection. (b) On or about August 22. 2012, or at times prior thereto, an employee walking on the top horizontal edge of a truss and subject to a potential fall of approximately 21 feet was not provided fall protection. Note: Abatement certification is required for this item.
