29 CFR 1926.451(a)(6): Scaffolds shall be designed by a qualified person and shall be constructed and loaded in accordance with that design. Non-mandatory Appendix A to this subpart contains examples of criteria that will enable an employer to comply with paragraph (a) of this section. (a). Worksite located at 4114 N. Belt Highway, St. Joseph, Missouri- Employees were exposed to a fall or scaffold collapse hazard in that the work platform well exceeded the structural design of the lift being used.

Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a). Worksite located at 4114 N. Belt Highway, St. Joseph, Missouri- An employee was observed working and walking along an unprotected side and edge without the use of any means of fall protection.
