29 CFR 1926.451(a)(6): Scaffolds were not designed by a qualified person: On or about August 29, 2012, an employee was installing cornice from a scaffold constructed with 2X4's nailed to the exterior of the building, which was not designed by a qualified person, exposing employee to a fall hazard of up to approximately 8 feet. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that scaffolds are going to be designed by a qualified person.
