The employer performed Class II abatement using a method allowed for Class I work, a negative pressure enclosure. The negative pressure enclosure was not smoke tested for leaks that could have allowed asbestos fibers to escape into the adjoining areas outside of the enclosure.

Regulated areas where asbestos containing materials were being removed from concrete block walls and columns was delineated with red plastic tape. However, the required signage was not posted to warn employees before they entered the regulated areas.
