29 CFR 1910.266(h)(2)(vii): The backcut was not above the level of the horizontal facecut in order to provide an adequate platform to prevent kickback. a) 67 feet East of N46 08.483', W115 44.639': On or about August 27, 2012 and at times prior thereto, the backcut met the facecut on the west side of the stump. b) Within 100 feet of N46 08.483', W115 44.639': On or about August 27, 2012 and at times prior thereto, three different trees were cut where the backcut was one to two inches below the facecut. Two of the stumps showed severe fiber pull indicating the hinge to be ineffective. Note: Abatement certification and supporting documenation are required for this item.
