Flexible cords shall be connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided which will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. a) Outside, in front of building - on or about August 30, 2012, the male end of the extension cord that was being used to supply power to a Dewalt drill paddle mixer was missing strain relief, exposing employees to electrical hazards. b) Outside, in front of building - on or about August 30, 2012, the female end of the electrical power cord that was being used to supply power to a Dewalt drill paddle mixer was missing strain relief, exposing employees to electrical hazards. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employers shall develop, implement, and maintain at each workplace, a written hazard communication program which at least describes how the criteria specified in paragraphs (f), (g), and (h) of this section for labels and other forms of warning, safety data sheets, and employee information and training will be met, and which also includes the following: a) At the construction site - on or about August 30, 2012, the employer did not develop a written hazard communication program for chemicals used such as Parex 121 dry base coat & adhesive stucco mix by employees at the job site, exposing employees to skin irritation and allergic dermatitis. 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employers shall provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area. Information and training may be designed to cover categories of hazards (e.g., flammability, carcinogenicity) or specific chemicals.
