29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1): Employees were permitted to work in proximity to electric power circuits and were not protected against electric shock by de-energizing and grounding the circuits or effectively guarding the circuits by insulation or other means. a) East conference room, lower suite: An employee was installing an electrical circuit for lighting in a 480 volt junction box, which contained two energized circuits. Employee was not protected against electric shock by de-energizing all circuits in the junction box, or wearing personal protective equipment with insulation. On or about 09/05/12. Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection case file, the employer need not submit certification of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
