29 CFR 1926.200(g)(2): Traffic control signs or devices used for protection of construction workers did not conform to Part VI of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (AMUTCD"), 1988 Edition, Revision 3, September 3, 1993, FHWA-SA-94-027 or Part VI of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Millenium Edition, December 2000, FHWA. a) The employer created a lane closure on a two way traveled rural road for the worker protection installing storm sewer utility off road edge at 67 Biddle rd. Bloomingburg, OH. that did not have the a Flagman Ahead or Yield Ahead caution signs posted. A flagman was not implemented to control the vehicle traffic before they entered lane closure. Uncontrolled vehicle traffic created a struck by potential to employees on the ground and heavy equipment operator with in the and outside lane closure.
