29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure.    a) J.C. Roofing on or about September 6, 2012, at the address of 108 Sandusky St. Tiffin, OH: The employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls while installing new roofing material to a residential structure.  Employees were exposed to 19 ft. fall to the ground below.

The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.    a) J.C. Roofing on or about September 6, 2012, at the address of 108 Sandusky St. Tiffin, OH: The employer did not ensure that employees had been trained in the appropriate use of fall protection such as but not limited to the use of personal fall arrest systems or alternative measures while performing various roofing operations.
