29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets: (a) On or about June 28, 2012, at a job site located at 400 W. 47th Street in Kansas City, MO, an employee who was not wearing a hard hat was exposed to serious head injury while standing in close proximity to a commercial HVAC unit being lifted overhead by a crane. THE HAGGARD HAULING AND RIGGING CORPORATION WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 313404790 , CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON DECEMBER 10th, 2009, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 1924 VAN BRUNT BLVD., KANSAS CITY, MO.
