29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Every open-sided floor or platform 4 feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level was not guarded by a standard railing (or the equivalent as specified in paragraph (e)(3) of this section) on all open sides except where there is entrance to a ramp, stairway, or fixed ladder:    (a) Ferrous Foundry, Hunter Eight Molding Machine - On or about September 10, 2012 an employee making adjustments to a cylinder at the Hunter eight molding machine was not protected from falling approximately 6 feet to a lower level.    Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
