29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a) On or about August 21, 2012; roof area; employee was installing tar paper on a 10 in 12 pitch roof without a personal fall arrest system in place to protect him from falling 21 feet to ground level.
