29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: A. Whitta Construction, Inc. worksite located at 2290 Elida Rd., Lima, Ohio: On or about September 13, 2012, the employer did not ensure an employee was protected from falling approximately 20.00 feet on the south side of the commercial structure. The exposed employees was removing a sheet metal cap utilizing no fall protection.
