29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):     Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.      a)  Work Site: Shop Rite at Franklin Shopping Center, State Highway 23, Franklin, NJ    The employees working at the edge of the roof were exposed to falling 13 feet to the ground below due to lack of fall protection systems.    Violation occurred on or about 9/14/2012.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):     The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:    a)  Work Site Location at Shop Rite, Franklin Shopping Center, State Highway Route 23, Frankin, NJ and at the Corporate Office,  210 New Hackensack Road, Wappingers Falls, NY:    The employer had not provided instruction on fall hazard recognition and prevention to employees relating to roofing work.    Violation occurred on or about 9/14/2012.

Violation occurred on or about 9/14/2012.
