29 CFR 1926.34(c): Means of egress was not continually maintained free of all obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency: a) 301 East 16th St, Wilmington, DE A means of egress through the doorway was not continually maintained free from all obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency. Two 100 feet energized (120 volts) temporary flexible cords were running across a doorway in the maintenance room to the hallway. 1 cord was used to energize a sump pump and 1 cord was energized but not being utilized, exposing the employees to a trip and fall hazard. This violation was observed on or about August 29, 2012.

29 CFR 1926.152(e)(4): Units dispensing flammable or combustible liquids were not protected against collision damage: a) 301 East 16th St, Wilmington, DE Construction site entrance The company had a 500 gallon double walled diesel fuel storage tank which was not protected from collision hazards. The fuel storage tank was positioned, approximately 30 feet from an active roadway, 15 feet from the roadway and 5 feet from the vehicle entrance to the jobsite, The company had wooden reflective signs and orange cones as barriers. This exposed the employees to fire/explosion hazards.The 500 gallon diesel fuel storage tank was on site to refuel heavy equipment and machinery. This violation was observed on or about August 29, 2012.
