OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of getting caught in or struck by paving machinery: Location: 333 Saw Mill River Rd. Elmsford NY 10523 On or about 9/17/12, a) Employee (s) were exposed to the hazard of getting caught in or struck by a Leeboy 8500 Conveyor Paver while attempting to repair the Paver as it was running. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to ensure that all employees that operate, service and maintain the paver read and follow the Operations, Service and Parts Manual for the 8500 Conveyor Paver (Manual No. 985682).
