29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):     Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.    a)  Long Beach Blvd., Long Beach Island:  A employee was working on the flat roof trusses / joists of a three story residential structure under construction near the unprotected edge of the structure and was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 30 feet.  The employee was not provided adequate fall protection (PFAS, safety nets, guardrails, etc.).  Observed on or about 9/14/2012.    NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
