Dutterer, Incorporated, 115 Ann Street, Hanover, PA - The employer did not ensure that the emergency egress path to the east exit door of the paint/finishing room was kept clear. Prep carts with assembled and coated products were staged at the east side of the shop and restricted the egress path to less than 28 inches, thereby exposing the employees to the risk of being blocked from the egress path in an emergency, on or about September 18, 2012.

Dutterer, Incorporated, 115 Ann Street, Hanover, PA - The employer did not ensure that employees in the finishing department wore protective eye equipment when spraying products such as M. L. Campbell (Product W358211), Opaque Base Satin, Catalyzed Pigmented Varnish, thereby exposing the employees to the possibility of eye injuries due to splashes or injection from paint spraying nozzles, on or about September 18, 2012.

(a) Ivan C. Dutterer, Incorporated, 115 Ann Street, Hanover, PA - Employees were permitted to wear prescription street glasses while operating straight line saws, molders and other woodworking equipment in the shop. The employee's eyes were exposed to saw dust and flying wood chips from the processes on or about September 18, 2012.

Dutterer, Incorporated, 115 Ann Street, Hanover, PA - Employees operated Hyster forklift (Model H65XM serial number H177B41777A) to move wood products and did not examine the equipment on a daily/preshift basis exposing them to possible injuries, on or about September 18, 2012. Ivan C. Dutterer, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 1910.178(q)(7), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 116216094, citation number 2 item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 17, 2011 with respect to a workplace located at 115 Ann Street, Hanover.
