29 CFR 1926.200(g)(2): Traffic control signs or devices used for protection of construction workers did not conform to Part VI of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD"), 1988 Edition, Revision 3, September 3, 1993, FHWA-SA-94-027 or Part VI of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Millennium Edition, December 2000, FHWA. On or about September 18, 2012, employees performing traffic control activities directly near and next to an active highway lane on an unprotected shoulder were exposed to struck by hazards and were not protected with traffic control signs or devices such as but not limited to, directional arrows, reflective drums/barrels, lighting, traffic attenuator trucks, reduced speeds, closed off lanes or traffic diverted to the access road IAW part 6, sections 6D and 6G of the MUTCD.
