OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to flying particles/shrapnel into bodies of employess in the event the PVC pipes explode due to transporting compressed air throughout the workplace:         a.  5530 Winder Highway, Braselton, GA (Shop Area) - Employees were exposed to struck-by/shrapnel hazard.  Throughout the workplace PVC pipes are being used to transport compressed air at a pressure of 125-130 psi into areas where needed in the shop, on or about 09/18/12.      In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.213(d)(1):  Circular handfed crosscut table saw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut:         a.  5530 Winder Highway, Braselton, GA (Shop Area) - Employees were exposed to amputation hazard.  Employees were using several unguarded table saws to make special sizes, cuts and angles of the wood products for manufacturing of cabinets, on or about 09/18/12.             a.	Powermatic Table Saw           b.	Delta Industrial Unisaw           c.     Delta 10 Unisaw Tilting Arbor Saw               In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
