29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about 09-13-2012 at 250 Congress Park Drive, Delray Beach FL 33445, an employee was working on the fourth floor edge of a structure. The employee was not wearing any personal fall protection and was exposed to falls of 28 feet 6 inches to the grade elevation. Repeat violation: COLOR FACTORY INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 313105041, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 2, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON OCTOBER 16, 2009, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 600 SOUTH OCEAN DRIVE, MANALAPAN FL. 33462.
