29 CFR 1926.304(f): All woodworking tools and machinery did not meet other applicable requirements of American National Standards Institute, 01.1-1961, Safety Code for Woodworking Machinery: (a) Front of Building - on or about September 20, 2012 - the table saw that was used to rip lumber was not equipped with anti-kickback dogs and a material spreader. As per ANSI 01.1-1961, American Standard Safety Code for Woodworking Machinery, 4.1.2(b) states: Each circular hand-fed circular rip saw shall be furnished with a spreader to prevent material from squeezing the saw or being thrown back at the operator. As per ANSI 01.1-1961, American Standard Safety Code for Woodworking Machinery, 4.1.2(c) states: Each hand-fed circular rip saw shall be provided with non-kickback fingers or dogs so located as to oppose the thrust or tendency of the saw to pick up the material or throw it back toward the operator.
