29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladders was not used only for the purpose for which they were designed. This violation occurred on September 20, 2012, at a workplace located at 3745 North Josey Lane, Carrolton, TX; employees were using a 12-foot step ladder that was leaned against the wall to gain access to the elevated work area. The front and back sections of the ladder were not in the open position with the metal spreader engaged.
