29 CFR 1910.37(b)(6): Each exit sign was not illuminated to a surface value of at least five foot-candles (54 lux) by a reliable light source and be distinctive in color: On or about 09/13/12 employees were exposed to a fire hazard due to the south end fire exit light being inoperable. The employees work in the immediate area daily, and in the event of a fire would not be able to visibly see the sign. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
