29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: North and Northeast elevations of the roof located approximately at 700 W. 22nd Street, Hastings, NE: Employees of Calderon Construction were exposed to fall hazard of more than 6 while installing an asphalt shingle roof. The employees were observed wearing personal fall arrest harnesses but they were not connected to an approved anchor point with a lanyard. Employees were also not protected by any other acceptable means of fall protection as required by Subpart M.
