29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: a) 1859 Warbler Lane, Post Falls, ID 83814 (Hallmark Homes); On or about 25 September 2012, and times prior thereto; employees were accessing the roof of a new construction 2 story residential home on a 24 foot aluminum ladder. The ladder did not extend 3 feet past the roof eave and exposed employees to fall hazards of approximately 20 feet. Note: Abatement certification is NOT required for this item.
