29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a) On or about September 7, 2012; front roof area; employees were using climbing belts while replacing the slate shingles on a 10 in 12 pitch roof 27 feet to ground level.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(12): Ladders shall have nonconductive siderails if they are used where the employee or the ladder could contact exposed energized electrical equipment, except as provided in 1926.951(c)(1) of this part. a) On or about September 7, 2012; front of home; employee was using a metal extension ladder, which was place four inches from energized conductors, to repair/replace the wood located at the eave.
