29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1): Employees were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge: a) Workplace, passage area between 111 West Industry Rd. and 121 West Industry Rd. buldings- East facing exit door lead to an approximately 50 foot pathway towards parking lot. There was a fence at the end of the pathway. The fence was padlocked; on or about 07/17/12. Note: In addition to abatement certification the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: a) Workplace, south facing emergency exit of 111 West Industry Rd. building was blocked by materials; on or about 07/17/12. b) Workplace, east side of 111 West Industry Rd. warehouse near bay doors, emergency exits blocked by materials; on or about 07/17/12. c) Workplace, 121 West Industry Rd. warehouse emergency exit facing east, was blocked by materials; on or about 07/17/12. d) Workplace, East side of passageway between 111 and 121 West Industry Rd. leading towards eastern parking lot was blocked with vegetation; on or about 07/17/12. Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.
