29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(2)(i): Engineering and work practice controls were not used to eliminate or minimize employees exposure: a) Allergic Disease Associates (Philadelphia, Center City): Employees, (Nurses and Medical Assistants) while administering intramuscular injections, such as the Pneumococcal vaccine with a non-safety engineered BD 3 milliliter 25 gauge x 1 inch Precision Glide REF 309581 syringe were occupationally exposed to bloodborne pathogens. The employer did not ensure that a safety syringe was used while adminstering the intramuscular injections. On or about September 20, 2012.
