29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects were not protected by protective helmets: (a) 2263 Seventh Street, East Meadow, NY - Back of home. The employee climbing the ladder with roofing materials directly below ongoing roofing work, was not wearing a protective helmet. The employee was exposed to being struck in the head by materials and tools that could fall from the roof above, on or about 10/1/12. Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
