29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): Accident prevention programs shall provide for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment to be made by competent persons designated by the employers. On or about 10/03/12, on Clay Road at the Hampton Inn (under construction), site workers were exposed to falling or tripping into an excavated opening, located at the entry way of the work site where outdoor lighting footers were being installed. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.1051(a): A stairway or ladder shall be provided at all personnel points of access where there is a break in elevation of 19 inches (48 cm) or more, and no ramp, runway, sloped embankment, or personnel hoist is provided. On or about 10/03/12, on Clay Road at the Hampton Inn (under construction), access to the stairway leading to the GC trailer exceeded 19 inches in elevation. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.1051(b): Employers shall provide and install all stairway and ladder fall protection systems required by this subpart and shall comply with all other pertinent requirements of this subpart before employees begin the work that necessitates the installation and use of stairways, ladders, and their respective fall protection systems. [55 FR 47687, Nov. 14, 1990] On or about 10/03/12, on Clay Road at the Hampton Inn (under construction), the portable stairway leading to the GC trailer entrance was not placed or installed on a stable foundation during use; creating a condition where the stairway could overturn or slide off its foundation. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
