Inside of the 1822 Cherry Building, employees were using a Hitachi mitre saw with a large amout of saw dust around the saw causing a fire hazard.

29 CFR 1910.304(g)(5): Grounding path. The path to ground from circuits, equipment, and enclosures shall be permanent, continuous, and effective. a) Inside of the break room, WD Pallets' employees were using a white General Electric refrigerator that was not grounded. The metal casing (framing) of the appliance was energized. b) Inside of the break room, WD Pallets' employees were using a Panasonic microwave oven that was not grounded. The ground pin was missing from the plug of the appliance. c) Inside of the break room, WD Pallets' employees were using a Tappan microwave oven that was not grounded. The ground pin was missing from the plug of the appliance.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and cables may not be used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: 1. Inside of the break room, WD Pallets" employees had a General Electric refrigerator plugged into an extension cord. The flexible (extension) cord was extended (traveling) from the break room through the wall and was plugged into an outlet located on the wall outside of the break room.

29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i): The employer shall ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l). 1. At the time of the inspection, the owner had employees operating a fork truck who had not been trained and/or certified to drive fork trucks. Employees are in the process of being trained through a special program offered by the state of Missouri.
