OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by/crushing hazards lifting devices were not rated or marked: On or before 10/9/12, employees were exposed to crushing hazards when the lifting hook(s) used in the facility, which were made in-house, were never rated or marked with the lifting capacity. Reference ANSI/ASME B30.20 - 2003. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to follow the guidelines in the American National Standard for under hook lifting device, ANSI/ASME B30.20 - 2003.
