29 CFR 1910.179(j)(3):  A complete periodic inspection of crane(s) had not been conducted in the past 12 months:    a)  In the crane area of the plant: On October 9, 2012 and at times prior to, the employer failed to ensure that a complete periodic inspection of the 10 ton gantry crane, was conducted in the past 12 months, exposing employees to crushing hazards and being struck by the load while operating the crane.    b)  In the crane area of the plant: On October 9, 2012 and at times prior to, the employer failed to ensure that a complete periodic inspection of the 5 ton gantry crane, was conducted in the past 12 months, exposing employees to crushing hazards and being struck by the load while operating the crane.    c)  In the crane area of the plant: On October 9, 2012 and at times prior to, the employer failed to ensure that a complete periodic inspection of the 3 ton gib crane, was conducted in the past 12 months, exposing employees to crushing hazards and being struck by the load while operating the crane.
