29 CFR 1910.219(c)(2)(i) All exposed parts of horizontal shafting seven (7) feet or less from floor or working platform, excepting runways used exclusively for oiling, or running adjustments, were not protected by a stationary casing enclosing shafting completely: On or about October 11, 2012, the drive shaft for the press operation on press #6 had no guard present. The shaft was approximately 8 to 12 inches from the opening on the right side of the machine, well within seven (7) foot minimum for a required machine guard.
