Flexible cords and cables may pass through doorways or other pinch points, if protection is provided to avoid damage. a) On side of trailer office on or about October 11, 2012, an extension cord supplying electrical power to a charger use for charging portable hand held radio used by employees was located across the driveway and subject to damage by vehicular traffic. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.1413(a)(2)(i)(A): Significant distortion of the wire rope structure such as kinking, crushing, unstranding, birdcaging, signs of core failure or steel core protrusion between the outer strands. a) At the job site on or about October 11, 2012, employees were using a 1 1/4 and 1 1/8 inch wire rope cables for lifting that were damaged, exposing employees overhead struck-by hazards. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION ARE NOT REQUIRED
