29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: Facility: (a). The operator at the center checker at the Mill Cut Off machine was exposed to noise at 85.6% of the permissible daily exposure (8-hour time weighted average of 80 dBA) or the equivalent sound level of approximately 88.9 dBA during a 478 minutes sampling period on 11/19/12: exposure calculation includes a zero increment for the 2 minutes not sampled. The employer did not implement a Hearing Conservation Program. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
