29 CFR 1910.5(a)(1):     Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to an employee in that employees were exposed to struck by hazards:    a)  Throughout the facility:  Employees were exposed to struck by hazards while stocking and picking from racking units that had damage such as, but not limited to, dented, twisted or missing braces, observed on or about 10/11/2012.    One feasible and useful method of abatement would be to follow the Rack Manufactures Institute Specification for the Design, Testing and Utilization of Industrial Steel Storage Racks MH16.1: 2008 section 1.4.9 Rack Damage, which requires the user to immediately unload damaged portions of the rack and replace or adequately repair.
