29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees had not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area: a) In Sanitation department - The employer did not provide the information and training for hazard communication program to employees working with corrosive chemicals such as, but not limited to, floor degrease (4126), oven cleaner (5473), CHEM SAN (0300), and tray wash (3699) that includes ingredient such as; sodium hydroxide, 2-butoxyethanol, ammonium chloride, potassium hydroxide and sodium hypochlorite, exposing employees to corrosive burns to eyes and skin and permanent injury to eyes including blindness.
