29 CFR 1926.451(e)(1): When scaffold platforms were more than 2 feet (0.6 m) above or below a point of access, portable ladders, hook-on ladders, attachable ladders, stair towers (scaffold stairways/towers), stairway-type ladders (such as ladder stands), ramps, walkways, integral prefabricated scaffold access, or direct access from other scaffold, structure, personnel hoist, or similar surface was not used. Crossbraces were used as a means of access: (a) On or about 10/18/2012 - 3460 Galleria Circle, Hoover, AL, employees were climbing the cross braces to access the upper level of the fabricated frame scaffolding. Bayou Brick Masonry LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.451(e)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313030314, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 06/09/2010, with respect to a workplace located at 17199 Spring Ranch Road, Livingston, LA. 70754.
