29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floor(s) or platform(s) 4 feet or more above the adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded by standard railings (or the equivalent as specified in 29 CFR 1910.23(e)(3)(i) through (v)), on all open sides: Employees were exposed to fall hazards while performing fabrication activities: a. A section of the northwest platforms top rail was approximately 35 inches. b. A section of the southwest platforms top rail was approximately 35 inches. c. A section of the northeast platforms top rail was approximately 34 inches. d. A section of the southeast platforms top rail was approximately 35 inches. CATERPILLAR, INC.
