29 CFR 1910.23(e)(1): Standard railing(s) did not consist of top rail, intermediate rail and/or posts and/or did not have a vertical height of 42 inches (106.7 cm) nominal from upper surface of top rail to floor, platform runway, or ramp level: A) At station 15E-1 the distance was 11 feet 9 inches from the top level to the platform below, and while this station had a guardrail, and midrail, they were only 30 inches high for the guard rail, and 8 inches high for the midrail at the center of the railing. B) At staton 15E there was a guardrail in place on the upper platform 10 feet above the lower area, but they did not have an intermediate rail.
