29 CFR 1910.138(b): The employer did not base selection of appropriate hand protection on an evaluation of the performance characteristics of the hand protection relative to the tasks to be performed, conditions present, duration of use, and the hazards and potential hazards identified: Employer did not provide chemical resistant gloves for employees who handle corrosive cleaning chemicals including, but not limited to: a) In the Laundry Room where employees transfer Liquid Laundry Destainer, Combo Laundry Detergent and Laundry Sour Plus. b) In the Kitchen where employees handle containers of Premium Pak automatic dishwasher detergent, liquid Shur Guard Plus virucide and Powdered Pre-Soak for flatware.
