29 CFR 1910.1030(g)(2)(viii): The person conducting the training was not knowledgeable in the subject matter covered by the elements contained in the training program as it relates to the workplace that the training will address. The bloodborne pathogen training was conducted by the the facility Executive Director, an administrative professional. There was no evidence that this individual had been provided anything more that a general overview of the standard. Methods to demonstrate subject knowledge such as but not limited to specialized training in epidemiolgy, transmission modes and symptoms had not been provided which would allow the trainer to conduct competent, interactive discusssion with trainees.
